Digital rebirth

2025

A bridge between epochs, cultures and people

 Problem

The cultural, artistic and artisanal heritage that surrounds us is an invaluable yet extremely fragile resource. Unique works of art, historical sculptures, archaeological finds and artefacts are constantly threatened by the passage of time, deterioration of materials, unpredictable natural events and human intervention.

However, their fragility is not only material. Often, these works are only accessible to a few: stored in museums, archives or private collections, or inaccessible to those with visual or motor disabilities. In this context, the real risk is not only the physical loss of the work, but also the loss of its history, form and meaning.

✽ Concept

Digital rebirth stems from the idea of giving art back the possibility to exist beyond its physical limits, making it accessible, tangible and reinterpretable by anyone. What has been handed down to us deserves not only to be cherished, but also to be regenerated and shared.

✽ Operation

Each project follows a path in three main stages, allowing us to transform a physical work into an accessible, reproducible and exploitable digital version.

We start with the acquisition phase: we use specific tools according to the characteristics of the work and its context, such as 3D laser scanners, drones, high-resolution cameras and/or devices with LiDAR technology. Then, in the post-production phase, the data collected are processed, cleaned and optimised to obtain a digital model faithful to the original and ready for various uses. The third phase is the enhancement phase. Depending on the needs of the project or client, we can render the work in different formats: photorealistic images, virtual tours, immersive experiences in virtual reality and/or 3D printed physical models. We are also developing a digital gallery and/or a dedicated e-commerce, to allow anyone to explore, buy or collect works also in digital format.

This project takes shape from the encounter between artistic sensitivity and technological innovation, thanks to the collaboration between Giulio Cinti and Esa Genius, combining complementary skills in the cultural and digital fields. From this synergy comes a method that is not limited to conservation, but opens up art to contemporaneity through advanced digitisation processes, 3D modelling, printing and immersive restitution.
